Below is a collection of some of my motion and video editing work.

NAME ANIMATION

This name animation is meant to portray who I am as both a designer and a person.

THE PURPOSE

Initially reserved, I'm described as a creative, caring, and hardworking individual with a touch of goofiness. My mind is consistently engaged in creating, daydreaming, and visually processing inspiration. While my design process may seem straightforward, it involves jumping between ideas and maintaining a constantly active and imaginative mind.

The animation's goal is to immerse the audience in my perspective, providing insight into how I interpret the world and inviting them to become familiar with both my design approach and personality.

STORYBOARD

The animation will use hand-drawn, mismatched letters gradually revealed to convey my creativity. It begins with shy, straightforward lines representing my personality and thought process at first glance. As the lines evolve, becoming more abstract and colorful, they gradually transform into letters, like to someone sketching them.

DESIGN STRATEGY

This title sequence will follow the main character through the house as he tries to reveal the truth. The main visual repetition is the wallpaper, used throughout the house, and a nod to the era of the 1920s. Other elements experiment with hiding, morphing, and abstracting, the true nature of objects or people. The contrast between type styles adds to the difference in class between characters. Chandler42 also represents the main character writing on his typewriter in a coded language, while Mostra Nuova is meant to represent the family’s performative and ornate parties representative of the time.

MUSIC CHOICE

Broadway 7 - nikproteus

MUSIC STRATEGY

The music will be an upbeat jazz song, adding to the time, the characters in the film, and the mystery/adventure nature.

END-OF-YEAR RECAP VIDEO

Edited an end-of-year recap and hype-up video for the Upper Arlington Men’s Tennis Team. This video served as both marketing collateral for the team to recruit others, as well as an internal summary of accomplishments and memories between the team members. Special attention was paid to lining up the sound and imagery, to enhance my skills and created the correct intended effect.
